Ninjist (“we”, “us”, “our”) is committed to protecting your personal data. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

By using Ninjist you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

Account data: When you sign in via Google or Apple, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from your chosen provider. We store these to power your account.

Content you create: Ideas, links, notes, and any other content you add to your Ninjist.

Usage data: We collect basic analytics on how the service is used (page views, feature usage). This data is aggregated and not linked to individuals.

We use your data solely to provide and improve the Ninjist service. Specifically:

• To create and manage your account
• To display your Ideas to friends and family you share with
• To process claims in accordance with the Surprise Rule
• To send transactional emails (e.g. invitation notifications)
• To improve the product using aggregated analytics

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

Clerk: We use Clerk for authentication. When you sign in, Clerk processes your credentials. Their privacy policy is available at clerk.com.

Microsoft Azure: Our infrastructure runs on Microsoft Azure in the UK South region. Your data is stored within the United Kingdom.

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Object to or restrict certain processing
• Data portability

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain it.
